Antiochian Orthodox celebrate Church New Year's Day

Bookmark and Share

Greetings on this New Year's Day!  St. George Church wishes all her parishioners a blessed Church New Year TODAY (September 1st).  This day is called the "Holy Indiction."  May this new year bring you all continued spiritual growth in the Lord, serving Him in the days ahead with a clean heart.

Please visit the newly-launched Church Website at www.stgeorgecicero.org and much more will be added very soon!  Thanks to the IT Committee for their dedicated efforts in preparing the site to help enhance communication in the Church community!

St. George Church wishes to thank the Officers and Members of the Fellowship of St. John the Divine (FSJD) for hosting the 2nd Annual St. George Fellowship Festival this past Sunday.  It truly was a success in many, many ways.  Hundreds of people and many generous sponsors helped make the Fellowship Festival an unforgettable event!  St. George Church and FSJD wish to thank all those who sponsored, supported and attended the Festival.  Over 100 volunteers, dressed in uniform, worked diligently to make the Festival a wonderful Christian atmosphere for all ages.  The profits are dedicated to the programs and ministries of FSJD.  May God grant them all many years!

The Church Office has a new email address, which is as follows: office@stgeorgecicero.org and most future messages and emails will be sent from this email address including Parish News, the Weekly Bulletin, and other important notifications.  Please add the Church Office email address to your contacts/directory to avoid the Church emails from entering your spam/junk folder.  If you desire to unsubscribe from receiving the weekly emails, please simply reply to this email and write "unsubscribe" in the subject line.

Have a blessed week!
