WATCH VIDEOS OF MARCH AGAINST TERROR
Washington, DC (May 20, 2005) The Free Muslims Coalition (FMC), a leading American Muslims organization with 13 chapters, is proud to announce that the first annual March Against Terror was a success. For those of you who were unable to attend the rally, you can watch it by visiting www.FreeMuslims.org.
There are two videos, a short video by the Washington Post and the entire rally on C-span. We hope you enjoy watching the rally. The rally was a success because of the quality of the speakers and because our message was carried across the world. Not only was the event covered by major American media outlets but also by Al-Jazeerah and Al-Arabia, the two largest media outlets in the Arab and Muslim world.
We have received hundreds of e-mails from the Arab world expressing support for our efforts and from those who hate our efforts. That is fine with us aslong as our message of tolerance, non-violence, separation of religion and politics, equality for women and democracy is heard. Please help us cover the cost of the rally by sending a contribution at:

NEW ZEALAND CHAPTER OF FMC ADVISES GOVERNMENT OF NEW ZEALAND ON TERROR
New Zealand (May 19, 2005) Thomas Haidon, the President of the New Zealand Chapter ofthe Free Muslims Coalition (FMC) testified before the New Zealand Parliamentary Foreign Affairs and Trade Select Committee on how to combat Terrorism. Haidon argued on behalf of FMC that New Zealand must work harder to strengthen the provisions of their anti-terrorism laws in order for New Zealand to meet its international obligations while at the same time achieving a fair balance between human rights and national security.
Haidon argued that New Zealand’s laws require strengthening by adding language to punish people who participate in terrorist activities based on recklessness as opposed to justintentional involvement.
FMC believes that we have a wider role to play in the public policy spectrum in theUnited States and internationally. According to Haidon, "As Muslims we must work withinour own communities and outside of our communities to present a unified front against terrorism. For more information, visit or website at www.freemuslims.org
